It was on 15th February 2025, when an emotional gathering was arranged at the School Quadrangle to bid farewell to our beloved teacher, Mrs. Sakina Shamsi after a long service of 22 years. The programme began at 7.45 am with a warm welcome by arranging the Shakespeare characters on both sides and the retiring teacher was duly accompanied by the School Manager- Resp. Sr. Jenny, Principal – beloved Sr. Edwina, teachers and student council. After lighting the lamp, A meaningful prayer service was conducted by Sr. Congita and Sr. Helen Munis followed by welcome song sung by the choir group. Amidst music and dance, speeches were delivered by teachers in English and Hindi, students too shared their experiences at which time gift hampers and thank you cards were presented to Mrs. Sakina by the respective classes. Sr. Edwina, our beloved Principal, in her address, appreciated the hard efforts and dedication of the retiring teacher and conveyed her best wishes for the second innings of her life. Later, Mrs. Sakina was honoured with bouquet and gifts by the School Manager – Sr. Jenny and our Principal – beloved Sr. Edwina.
The retiring teacher in her speech, appreciated every event of the day and thanked the management, teachers and students for the love, respect and gratitude extended to her not just on that day but throughout her career at the school.
Mrs. Sakina arranged a hearty lunch for all at school, after which she was escorted home by the School Manager and Principal on their personal vehicle. The teachers too accompanied them to mark the end of her school career with respect and dignity.
