Pre-Independence fervour had already taken its pace at our School Quadrangle, as we celebrated the Patriotic Singing Competition on 14th August 2024. It began with a meaningful prayer service, followed by a dance saluting the unsung heroes of our nation.
Then began the real show, when all four houses of both Primary and Secondary section, vis-a-vis Blue, Green, Red and Yellow, demonstrated their best singing talent. The judges had a tough time to adjudge the winners of the competition, such was the performance of our Angelites. Finally, it was the Yellow House from Primary Section and the Red House from the Secondary Section were declared as winners followed by the Blue House from the Primary Section and the Yellow House from the Secondary Section won the second position and the Red House from the Primary and the Blue as well as Green House from the Secondary stood third.Consolation prizes were announced to soothe the mood of the students who could not reach the pinnacle.
Songs recalling the struggles of our great freedom fighters echoed the premises of our school on the 15th August 2024, as the Gujarati Medium geared to celebrate the Independence Day at the School Quadrangle. The solemn function began with the flag hoisting by the retiring Gujarati Medium teacher, Smt. Ushaben Tralsawala, who was the Chief Guest of the occasion. Patriotic song and dance were put up by both mediums of the school, English and Gujarati, respectively followed by speechby students. A hair-raising skit was performed by the students showing the aggrieved family sensing pride in their son’s death, a soldier. The highlight of the day was the speech delivered by the Chief Guest and the Principal of Gujarati Medium, who reminded us not to forget the great sacrifices willingly made by our great leaders and the legacy to be continued with the same passion by the generation next.
