36th NATIONAL GAMES 2022 AWARENESS PROGRAMME
India’s most renowned and much-awaited Sports Event is just at the door-step, ready to kick-start after a gap of seven years, the eventwhich was last held in Kerala in the year 2015. Yes, the talk of the town is the 36th National Games 2022 which will be held at NarendraModi Stadium, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, covering major cities of Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Gandhinagar, Rajkot and Bhavnagar. Thus, the need of the hour demands an awareness among our students regarding the significance of this great event.
The 36th National Games 2022 Awareness Programme was held at School Sports Complex on 16th September 2022 at 9am. The honourable guests, Smt. Vilasben Ahir, Sarpanch-Vadadla Village, Mayaben Patel, Deputy Sarpanch and Shri Narendrabhai Patel, Retired Sarpanch and a good cricketer, were welcomed by the Student Council amidst rhythmic band and March Past. After a brief Prayer Service and a cultural Programme, a detailed speech was delivered by Std. XII students on the topic ‘Origin and Introduction to National Games’, based on which a quiz was conducted which received excellent response from the students.Fitness Oath was administered by the Principal, Sr. Juanita along with the teachers and the students.
Mementos were presented to the Sports Teachers – Mr. Oscar Alphanso, Mrs. Manisha Mahida and Mrs. Roshani Macwan by the guests for their remarkable efforts put in, to bring laurels to the Institution at the Khel Mahakhumb 2021 – 2022.The school, having acclaimed the title of ‘The Best School’ in Bharuch district for securing First position in Khel Mahakumbh, the winners were felicitated with medals and certificates.
Later, House-wise exciting sports events were conducted not only for the students, but also for teachers to highlight the theme of the 36th National Games 2022 ‘Celebrating Unity Through Sports.’Our Angelites’ now desperately await to welcome the action-filled National Sports Events!
