NAVRATRI – DUAL CELEBRATION

 AT SCHOOL AND WITH VILLAGERS

Pulkit Hua Sansar, Nanhe-Nanhe Kadmo Se Maa Aaye Aap Ke Dwar..

The most anticipated festival in Gujarat,  THE NAVRATRI CELEBRATION, was organised at the School Sports Complex for Secondary Section and at the School Quadrangle for Primary Section on 3rd October 2022 morning, to seek blessings of Maa Durga. Significance of nine days which is dedicated to the goddess and the varied hues associated there with, was featured on the stage in an interesting way by Secondary Section. Students all decked up in their best chaniya choli (girls) and boys in traditional kurtas, the scenario closely gave a picture of fresh blossoms Their feet tapped to the latest Garba styles, maintaining their pace to the musical beats and rhythm.Tired and drenched, students retired for the day and left the school premises with fond memories.

On 4th October 2022, once again, QACS geared up to celebrate this divine fest, but this time with a difference. Yes, our Teachers, Parents and Students, in their traditional outfit, were all set to perform Sheri Na Garba with people of Vadadla Village to revive the tradition of ancient form of Garba.The guests included  Smt. Sailaben Patel, BJP ZillaPanchayat Member, Village Sarpanch, Smt. VilasbenAhir, and Ms.IlabenVaid, Social Media Incharge, who received floral welcome. To suit the occasion, Village MahilaBhajanMandali was specially invited to play and sing traditionalSheri Garba, in place of the modern music which has become the latest trend. The significance of nine nights was once again highlighted which impressed everyone. At this juncture, it may be noted that Sheri NaGarbais the oldest tradition of Gujarat which was followed by ancestors and played in the court yard of their dwellings.

TheVadadla villagers included men and women of all ages, caste and creed,who exhibited their Garba skills with ourTeachers, Parents and Students. How deeply the crowd was connected to the roots of tradition! Truly Worth Watching!The whole event was perfectly covered and telecasted in the evening news by the local television channels.
