It was yet another year of celebration, however this time for a reason, on completion of four decades of its inception, Queen of Angels’ Convent Higher Secondary School rejoiced with vibrancy and life being propelled into magnificent and reverberating Annual Day Celebrations on 10th and 11th January 2025.
Cinderella – an Opera was the theme of the tiny tots of Nursery to Std II which was celebrated on 10th January 2025, with central focus on girl child education. The Chief Guest, Shri Parimal Jayswal, Deputy Collector of Bharuch, Mr. Anurag Hatkar – alumnus of our school and Mrs. Sakina Shamsi – Retiring Teacher, were welcomed by the newly formed band group, Queens Band, duly accompanied by our beloved Sisters, Sr. Jenny – Manager and Sr. Edwina – Principal. The programme began with the welcoming address by our Resp. Principal followed by a prayer dance. The little achievers were felicitated on the stage by the Chief Guest followed by the retiring teacher, who was conferred with a shawl and memento to honour her service at our institution. The prayer dance made the presence of Lord. Then began the story of the little girl who lost her parents at an early age and was put to task by her step mother, and later the prince rescues her and allows her to complete her studies. The Chief Guest in his address appreciated the performance of every participant and congratulated the institution for encouraging them at all levels. Their performances were appreciated by the audience too throughout, especially, the emotional dance numbers put up by parents and their children. Truly a tale with a twist!
Symphony of Nature was the theme chosen for students of Std III and onwards which was on 11th January 2025.
The Annual Day was presided by The Chief Guest of the event was Shri N.R. Dhandhal, Additional Collection of Bharuch and Dr. Apurv Shroff, Cancer Specialist and alumnus of our school. Entailing a formal welcome by our newly formed band group duly accompanied by our beloved Sisters, Sr. Jenny – Manager and Sr. Edwina – Principal, felicitation of academic and sports achievers took the lead. Then began the much awaited moment, when Mother Earth took up the stage to appreciate her presence as a harmonious giver and humans in greed, try to exploit her, putting Mother Earth in grievous state. The whole episode takes a turn to the girl child. The enactment and dances were duly appreciated by parents. Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest stated that the students have smartly carved a niche for themselves. He added that students should be given great scruple and values so they can effectively be true citizens.
Highlight of both the days were the school report which was presented differently on the LED. Also the History of QACS in tableau won appreciation among the audience, especially when Shri Chimanbhai Patel, aged 75, who helped the institution to lay foundation 40 years ago, was felicitated on stage. The costumes, decoration, stage light up, three LED’s on ground, sound system and a projector at the quadrangle added glitters to the show, thus taking the event to the next level never ever witnessed, which enthralled the audience.
The exhilarating shows was an unforgettable experience and left a lasting impression in the minds of everyone present. It was indeed a spectacular display of talent and fervor.
